Recycling Electronics
Recycling Electronics – Recycle for Cash
In the UK last year over 173 million electrical devices were sold which means on average each person owns 2.8 devices each. Every year many millions of tonnes of old electrical gadgets are thrown in the bin only to end up at landfill. Once there they take many decades to fully break down and cause more damage to the environment.
Electronic and Electrical devices also contain many valuable metals and plastics including gold, silver and copper which can be recycled and re-used to make many new products.
Where Electrical and Electronic Equipment can be Recycled Online
There are now many online recyclers that will buy your old gadget in return for a cash payment via either cheque or Paypal. So rather than throwing your unwanted mobile phone, iPod, iPhone, SAT NAV, digital camera, MP3 player, computer, printer, laptop, games console, stereo or other electrical device in the bin why not dig it out and send it in, you could potentially be sitting on a small fortune.
If you cannot sell your old device or appliance online then rather than putting it in the bin why not drop it off at your local council recycling centre where it will be disposed of correctly.
The following are the most popular sites that will pay cash or equivalent for your old electrical gadgets:
O2 Recycle
When it comes to recycling old digital cameras and other electronic gadgets O2 Recycle is fast becoming one of the biggest and most popular websites. Not only do they pay in cash via either cheque or BACS but all their profits are donated to their Think Big initiative which helps to change the lives of young people in the UK.
